1st of 2007 for the Reds
After 4 successive wins on the bounce, bounce-back-ability came to the fore when the Reds claimed their first victory of 2007.
The game started slow but the Reds soon mounted a 3 goal lead. The Whites had forgotten to show up!
The week saw a change of fortune for the Reds as they showed great composure on the ball and marked well. The whites endevour proved fruitless as attempt after attempt went wide or sored over the wood-work.
It was a game the Whites should have won, or at least challenged for. Richard Clements made his last appearance after spending 5 years at the club prior to leaving for Oxford. However, with Clements at fault for two of the goals, arguements and frustrations were telling their toll on the night as head went down.
The Whites pulled one back with a great solo effort from Guy, but to be honest that was the highlight of the Whites performance.
The Whites will be looking to bounce back themselves this week, although with Guy, Sugg, Almy and Swifty out they will have muscle in and grind out a result.
4-1 the game finished. The evening won't be remebered, but the 5 years which Tricky gave the club, the effort and relentless enthusiasm will.
