The Reds in search of a win

The reds met the whites for the 3rd time on the newly re-surfaced pitch, the reds still for first in 2007! With a team cobbled together in the absence of the Torquay boys (cheers for turning up this time and the Reds at full strength, it was going to be an uphill struggle for the white team who had never played together before.

In the early moves of the match, Justin (cue high pitched Justin Timberlake-esque EEE-HEE!!) left Walker almost nothing to do after a perfectly executed back heel into his path opened the scoring for the whites, 1-0. 2 more were added to Guy's personal tally the whites were stringing the ball around nicely the deck. Tim (Suggy's girlfriend's brother) was tireless at the back leaving the reds to shoot from range which, more of than not, came to nothing and was forever encouraging all of his team mates (Ahem!) especially Afro - I thought they were going to make love there and then on the pitch! The reds got themselves back into the game with some good movement by Nick up front and textbook defending from Neil at the back but once again the whites had the upper hand moved the scoring tally up to 7after Suggy "skinned 3 people" and hit the right angle!

The game finished 7-5 which was a fair representation on the game - the whites had the edge. Thanks to Justin, Tim and Poya for filling in at the last moment.

Reds?! When will your first win come? It doesn't look like happening any time soon.
