The Reds win again

In what can only described as a change of fortune, the Reds continue to lengthen their winning streak at the Wandle. It must now be 4 on the trot, all-be-it narrow victories they have shown that they can play and dominate the Wednesday fixture at present.

The Whites thought that the unveiling on their new home strip would bring good fortune, but alas not. Even the sparkling display of Woody’s new white boots could not ignite the turf. Almy ran the show for the whites with
4 spectacular strikes hit with considerable pace. "Stick that in the Blog" he shouts as he pumps the fourth home! Swifty made it five will a well worked team effort.

The difference between the two sides was the effort. The Whites looked good going forward, but rued many chances, with Guy hitting skyward on many occasions. It was just one of those weeks.

The Reds, with all due respect played well and scored some good goals. Dave and Neil linking well in
the middle of the park and breaking well down the right at times kept the whites on their toes and pegged back.

The difference between the two sides on the night was team effort and finishing.
"The Reds cleaned their plate, while the whites left their greens"

Let's hope next week will bring a change of fortune with the return of Parker after resting a knee injury.
